DASP Music is a local charity (CIO) which aims to enhance musical education in Dorchester and beyond.

It coordinates instrumental tuition across the Dorchester Pyramid, which comprises of 13 first schools, 3 middle schools, 1 upper school and 1 free school.

It provides a range of musical ensembles open to all local children under the age of 19, and organises regular concerts. It also offers curriculum support for the schools in the pyramid.

Our aim is to give young people across the Dorchester area  and beyond, first class, inspirational music making opportunities. We are fortunate to have an outstanding team of instrumental music teachers, classroom music teachers, music leaders, headteachers, office staff and administrators, all of whom work together to ensure the best possible provision for our students, parents and schools.

In August 2015, DASP Music became a registered charity (no. 1162919).  All money that we raise (through concerts, events, sponsorship etc) goes straight into specific projects within our schools or the local area, to enhance the musical education of all students within DASP and beyond.  If you would like to donate to one of our projects, please contact us.
The DASP Schools are:  The Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester Middle School, St Mary's Middle School, St Osmunds Middle School, Broadmayne First School, Cerne Abbas First School, St Mary's Charminster First School, Cheselbourne Village School, Damers First School, Frome Valley First School, Manor Park First School, Milborne First School, Piddle Valley First School, Prince of Wales First School, Puddletown First School, St Mary's Catholic First School, Winterbourne Valley First School, Dorset Studio School.
